Allergic to life...

 Allergens..

So it’s been a couple of weeks since the last blog, as usual.. but this time.. ahh this time...

We have discovered I am sensitive, by that I mean my skin. I’ve always known I’ve had generic allergies, pet dander, dust, low key day to day time. At first we thought it was the mosquito bites.

But then there were less bites...and I stilled itched. So I began bathing more. It seemed the more I bathed it would give a temporary relief...then we decided it must be the water.. So we started to use Dettol- an antiseptic, in the bathing bucket to help.

Look at that water! I have never had an issue with bathing water use here in India. And I have been on many journeys from North to South, so please do not let this worry you. After beginning to bathe with the Dettol I was STILL itchy... then I recalled that certain soaps can cause a reaction. So now we we changed from a bar to a gel, an herbal line here- Jovees and found loofah's.

The combined soap and water efforts was finally helping. I also began taking my allergy medicine- for the first time while in India.
Then we started going out more and my itching increased... Harrie noticed it and said it must be a combination of allergens, dust, pollution, etc. This results in me bathing a bit more frequently - every time we go out for an extensive day. Things like errands or going out for a meal have not seemed to irritate it as much. And also being mindful of the busier times of day when more is kicked up into the air.

I am happy to say that now I am rarely itchy! A combination of Dettol, Jovees, allergy medicine and I am able to enjoy my time again! Here's to more blogs more frequently. *crosses fingers*

I'm back in India!

Hello all!
Sorry for the long pause between, I had to get somethings settled back in the states that took up my time.. but now-

I'm back in India! This time though Hardeep and I are no longer at home in the north with his family, we're in our own home in the south! So much to share..

I took Saudi Airlines on my return back. The airline itself was nice, the flight, the staff, even the food was good. What wasn't great was the misinformation I received in regards to a visa. I chose a longer layover with intentions of touring through Jeddah with friends, sadly though I was unable to leave the airport...

Hardeep is working at a hotel here in Cochi, Airlink Castle for those interested in checking it out. I even got a pic of their billboard on the way out from the airport.

This time I flew directly into Cochi, since Harrie was already here. Immigration was much easier to get through here, I highly recommend using a smaller portal if possible, much friendlier and faster. Although the day

When I arrived there was a public transportation strike-, from autorickshaws to the private taxis. Harrie of course managed to find us a service that took us to a local hotel nearby, they would not go beyond a certain area. It was strange not seeing much traffic..

We stayed at Diana Heights our first day, I got plenty of rest and enjoyed our room service! Here are a few pics to enjoy.

The bathroom had a glass wall
to enjoy a soak and a view!

As the week progressed we moved  in and began making our new place 'ours', here's a peek into what we've managed so far...

I hope you've enjoyed the photos and quick blog, need to dash for a bit!
